One to one training

Training and assistance available at any trust location

Live assistance with literature searches can be provided at any trust location as long as you have access to a trust computer and a telephone.

Simple instructions will be sent to you via email and the trainer will share her screen with you and discuss the resources over the telephone.

These sessions can be provided as one-to-one training or to small groups.

Find healthcare evidence fast!

A short session that introduces you to easy search tools to help you find relevant healthcare evidence quickly.  This is a good starter session for those wanting to make the care they deliver more evidence-based.

Where’s your evidence? Using research to support clinical decision making
(Flexible trust location to suit you, 1hr 15mins)
A longer session on how to make the most of the healthcare databases to find  more comprehensive answers to your clinical questions

Finding information for assignments (Flexible trust location to suit you, 1hr, 15mins)
This session will help you make the most of the healthcare databases to prepare you to find research for your coursework or assignment.

Peer Group or Departmental training

Peer group training allows colleagues at a similar level to obtain training together so that learning can be easily shared or refreshed with one another later.  You could make this part of a training day, away day or staff meeting for the CPD of the staff in your team, department of peer group.  Shorter sessions can be offered as part of your team meeting.
