Service changes Covid-19

Update on Service Delivery from Monday, 19th July 2021

    • Barberry Library will be staffed Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
    • Uffculme Library and the hot-desking area will remain closed to all staff and visitors.
  • Borrowing books 

While we try to reduce unnecessary travel and visitors to site, BSMHFT Knowledge, Information and Library Service is to provide a postal loan service for all items held in both our and other BASE Libraries – you will need to reserve which items you require via your account on the website, or let us know what you need by email and we will post them to your workplace address.

If an item is required urgently, please contact us and we will arrange a mutually convenient time for you to “Click and Collect”.

Automatic renewals of items on loan have now ceased and the normal system for borrowing and return is in place, i.e. one month loan with 3 renewals. If you want to return books to either library at BSMHFT, you can use the drop-boxes located outside the library door or you can return the items via the internal post, packing items in padded envelopes if possible.

If you need to register for the library service, you can do this online here – we will confirm your registration and library card number by email before posting this to you at your workplace address.

  • Other services

All other services such as article requests, literature search help or mediated literature searches are still available via the links on the website.
